NOTE: This is a fireplace-insert door; its installation differs from that of a door designed specifically for masonry oven construction.
MATERIAL: The door is made of cast iron. Cast iron withstands high temperatures and temperature fluctuations well and retains its shape when heated.
GLASS: Heat-resistant mineralized glass rated up to 800 °C is used. The glass may break as a result of mechanical impact. It must not be fixed so rigidly that thermal stress can develop during heating.
FINISH: The cast-iron parts are coated with two-component Thermodur 600 heat-resistant paint, resistant to temperatures up to 600 °C. Ensure good ventilation during the first firings.
CARE: Clean the product only after it has cooled. Cast-iron surfaces may be wiped with a soft cloth lightly moistened with cooking oil. Clean the glass with a suitable glass cleaner or a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
